Why a Side Entry Tank Mixer?
The Galaxy Process side entry mixer is the most efficient energy converter in a fluid motion. In contrast to jet mixing systems, they do not experience significant energy losses at the pump, in pipes, in bends, or more clearly at jet nozzles. In addition, investment costs are lower and access to internal components is not limited, while the problem of frequent and urgent maintenance of tanks to be emptied and cleaned is eliminated. Side entry mixer is also more efficient than top entry mixers and are significantly less expensive for larger diameter tanks. Side entry mixers are ideal for use in floating roof tanks, where the use of top entry mixers is excluded for practical reasons. A properly selected side entry mixer with a reliable shut-off device and a high-efficiency turbine performs all other mixing devices.
Standard range
- 2-55 kW
- Wheels 356-838 mm (14 - 33 inches) in diameter
- Belt and gear
- Fixed angle and tilt angle
These four variables constitute the complete standard range. In all cases, the concept was to create units suitable for long and continuous operation in difficult site conditions, with minimal maintenance.
The name of the model
All galaxy side entry mixers have designated types named in the following example:
Belt-driven units
These are reinforced flexible HTDR (Power Grip High Torque Drive) antistatic belts for longer service life with a minimum maintenance factor of 1.5. The entire transmission is housed in a weatherproof and spark-proof housing with internal fire-resistant resin surfaces. The bearings are hermetically sealed for life, are fully greased and have an ISO and ANSI life of more than 50,000 hours.
Driven units
Use AGMA Class 2 high-efficiency case-hardened bevel gears with a minimum operating factor of 1.5 for longer service life. The transmission can be removed as a shop maintenance unit without disturbing the mounting orientation of the motor or the movable coupling halves. The gearbox provides positive oil lubrication for all rotating components, resulting in low noise and maximum heat dissipation. There is no risk of lubrication and overheating errors, which can occur with circulation pumps. All bearings are open cage types with an ISO and ANSI life of more than 44,000 hours.
Standard building materials
- Impeller Cast Iron
- Shaft Carbon Steel
- Mounting flange Carbon Steel
Special materials, such. Wetted parts of stainless steel or other exotic materials can be supplied according to individual requirements.
